Om Indlægget

Contemporary implant dentistry requires more than technical accuracy alone. True clinical excellence arises from the ability to integrate diagnosis, planning, surgery, prosthetics, and soft tissue management into one coherent vision. The Italian Touch represents this philosophy: a refined balance between precision and esthetics, between biological principles and restorative goals, and between functional predictability and emotional impact.

This lecture will explore the key clinical steps that define a modern implant workflow, starting from diagnosis and treatment planning as the foundation for predictable outcomes. Special attention will be given to the role of the mock-up, not only as a prosthetic preview, but also as an essential clinical and communication tool capable of guiding decision-making, aligning the team, and improving patient understanding and acceptance.

The presentation will also address the management of emergence profile and peri-implant soft tissues, emphasizing how prosthetic contours and tissue conditioning influence the final esthetic result. A major focus will be placed on the critical interface between surgery and prosthetics, where interdisciplinary control is essential to achieve harmony between implant positioning, tissue stability, and restorative design.

Finally, the transition from temporary to definitive restorations will be discussed as a decisive moment in transferring information and preserving the esthetic and biological achievements obtained during treatment. Within this framework, analog and digital workflows will be compared not as competing philosophies, but as complementary tools to be selected according to clinical needs and everyday practice.

Through clinical cases and practical considerations, this lecture will illustrate how attention to detail, interdisciplinary coordination, and an esthetic-driven mindset can transform implant therapy into a precise, elegant, and highly predictable treatment pathway.
