Achieving anterior implant esthetics is challenging and demanding. To create implant restorations with harmonious gingival contour that emulate nature is a fusion of science and art. Understanding the biologic and
physiologic limitations of the soft and hard tissue will facilitate predictability in
simple to complex esthetic situations.
This presentation will encompass Orthodontics, Periodontics and
Restorative concepts which focus on implant treatment philosophies and methodologies for replacing missing teeth and the management of patients who will be losing a tooth or teeth in the esthetic zone. Emphasis will be on diagnosis and treatment planning, surgical and prosthetic management of soft and hard tissue for optimal implant esthetics.
Learning objectives
1. Immediate tooth replacement vs delayed implant placement
2. Root shield: Does it work ?
3. Soft and hard tissue grafting
4. Prosthetic contouring for implant esthetics
5. Prognostic variables for implant esthetics
6. Complication managements
